Children's coaching with horses

Children's coaching with horses, also known as equine-assisted children's coaching, is a form of coaching and therapy in which horses are used to guide and support children in their personal development and well-being. It can be used for a wide range of challenges, including behavioral problems, emotional difficulties, self-confidence, anxiety and more.

Why coaching with horses works for children:

Natural interaction: Children often have a natural affinity with animals, and horses are particularly sensitive and intuitive. Interacting with horses is less threatening than conversations with adults, which makes children feel more at ease. They perform different activities, such as leading a horse, games, brushing, and feeding, depending on the purpose of the session.

Emotional Awareness: During sessions, children can learn how to recognize and express their own emotions. They can learn to deal with fear, frustration, anger, or other emotions.

 Non-verbal communication: Horses respond strongly to non-verbal signals, such as body language and energy. Children learn how their own non-verbal communication influences the horse's response, which promotes awareness and self-insight.

Self-confidence and assertiveness: Building a relationship with a horse requires self-confidence and assertiveness. Children learn how to be more confident and set clear, respectful boundaries.

Cooperation and teamwork: Children often learn to work effectively with both the horse and the coach. This can help develop social skills.

Problem solving: During sessions, children often face challenges and obstacles. They are encouraged to find creative ways to solve these problems, which helps them with their problem-solving skills.

In short;

A unique learning experience: Horse coaching offers an alternative and experiential approach to learning and therapy, which can meet the needs of children who do not respond well to traditional methods.

My 9 year old daughter had a wonderful experience with Olga and Alyce. She struggled to sleep. In a fun and playful way through games with cuddly toys and other items, Alyce confirmed some things and we started working on this and the experience was very positive. My daughter sleeps better and really enjoyed Olga's peace and Alyce's attention. Definitely recommended for children who are restless and who are struggling with something. Thank you!!!
